About this Event
A Night of Bass & Vinyl
Experience a first-of-its-kind night of live electric bass performance by Cole Davis, layered over a curated vinyl selection spun by VEE DUBS. Equal parts live performance, DJ set, and sonic experiment, the evening explores the space between groove, improvisation, and the timeless warmth of vinyl.
Cole Davis is a New York-based bassist and composer, trained at Juilliard and Berklee and a student of legendary bassist Ron Carter. A versatile player equally at home on upright and electric bass, Davis has performed and recorded with artists including Bon Iver, Dua Saleh, Lambchop, Bobby McFerrin, and Julian Lage. His playing brings deep jazz lineage, modern experimentation, and an unmistakable sense of groove to everything he touches.
For this special performance, Davis brings the electric bass to the forefront—responding to and weaving through VEE DUBS’ hand-selected vinyl records in real time.
