About this Event
A Night in Hell with Martin Olson – featuring Olivia Olson (Adventure Time), hosted by Disney's Dan Povenmire & Swampy Marsh (Phineas & Ferb), with The Captain Danger band, spooky magic bits with Ron Lynch, Karl Herlinger’s vampire ventriloquism and more!
Our Halloween month ends, appropriately, with a literal descent into Hell hosted by multi-Emmy nominated comedy writer, author and songwriter Martin Olson whose wicked satire Encyclopaedia of Hell has been hailed as “absolutely one of the funniest books ever” by the drummer for Metallica, and “written by a man whose mind has an extra dimension” by comedy genius Steven Wright. Joining Martin will be his daughter Olivia Olson (the voice of Vanessa on Phineas & Ferb and Marceline the Vampire Queen on Adventure Time), and Disney Animation titans Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh (Phineas & Ferb, Milo Murphy’s Law and Hamster & Gretel). Plus a wondrously grotesque sideshow of Martin’s so-called friends, including outrageous readings by comedian Mike O’Connell, spooky magic from Ron Lynch (Bob's Burgers), vampire ventriloquism from hilarious Karl Herlinger, a mind-bending monologue by comedian & art critic Christina Catherine Martinez, epic rants from madman Eddie Pepitone (The Bitter Buddha) and much, much less. We promise a night of comedic tomfoolery, satanic songcraft, and carnivalesque tastelessness!
Martin Olson, Olivia and Dan & Swampy will sign copies of Olson's satiric novels Encyclopaedia of Hell and The Conquest of Heaven following the show.
