About this Event
Shauntai is a 19-year-old Sherwood Park resident who lost her leg to cancer. After facing a battle no young person should have to endure, she has kicked cancer to the curb and is ready to embrace the life ahead of her. But she still faces the daily challenges of an amputation and a significant financial hurdle.
We are raising funds to help Shauntai purchase an Ottobock Genium X4 prosthetic knee, which costs more than $100,000. This knee would help her move with greater confidence and independence, including climbing stairs and taking a step backward—everyday movements that many of us rarely think about.
At just 19, Shauntai has so much life ahead of her. Together, we can help make that future more accessible.
