Historic Kansas City's Young Preservationists is energizing a new generation of leaders. This newly revived HKC program is aimed at building connections among the young professional cohorts who share a passion for Kansas City's historic buildings, landscapes, and neighborhoods, bringing together Millennials and Gen Z locals interested in preservation. Through tours, hands-on programs, conversations with people working in the field, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings, Young Preservationists will offer new ways to get involved in preservation for interested Millenials and Gen Z participants.Join us for the program's first public gathering, A Night at The Holtman, on Tuesday, September 29. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., attendees can meet members of the new Young Preservationists Advisory Board and connect with fellow preservationists before a 6:00 p.m. tour of The Holtman with developer Zach Molzer. The tour will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the property and the story behind its redevelopment. Those 21 and older can continue the evening with an optional happy hour at Bar Phoebe at 7:00 p.m.
