Vibrant, imaginative, and full of wonder, A Matter of Taste is an evening designed to delight the senses. Mendelssohn's magical Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream whisks audiences into a world of fairy-tale enchantment, while Maxime Goulet's Chocolats Symphoniques offers a unique multisensory experience that pairs live orchestral music with chocolate tasting. The program concludes with Beethoven's youthful and exuberant Symphony No. 1, a brilliant work overflowing with wit, charm, and musical invention. Together, these three works, led by Resident Conductor Jacobsen Woollen, create an unforgettable journey of imagination, discovery, and delight.
