Mark Twain will return to Decorah at 2pm on Saturday, October 31st, Halloween afternoon, to share “A Mark Twain Halloween.” Presented live on stage at T-Bock’s Upstairs, come and hear a collection of spooky, mysterious, and downright funny stories from Tom Sawyer, A Tramp Abroad, Life on the Mississippi, Sketches New and Old, Europe and Elsewhere, and from his career as a journalist. Professional actor Ray Carver, who entertained local audiences in June of 2025 with “Life on the Mississippi,” again appears as Mark Twain. The Des Moines Register says of his performance as Twain, “It seems as though time has been suspended – that could be the drawling Mark Twain up there on stage, reeling off his one-liners and holding the audience in his spell.”Sponsored by the Winneshiek County Historical Society, tickets for the show are now available during regular business hours at Kanpai Soda Shop, 404 W. Water Street, Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, 507 W. Water Street, and Winneshiek County Historical Society, 302 W. Water Street, Decorah. Tickets are $15 each for all ages.
The performance venue, T-Bock’s Upstairs, is located at 207 W. Water Street and is handicap accessible via that entrance. Doors will open at 1:45 pm for admission to the show. Beverages will be available for purchase before the show and during the intermission.
