About this Event
What can an immersive experience teach us about living with cognitive change?
A Lived Experience: Intro to Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease helps participants build their care partner toolkit through an empathy-based learning experience facilitated through Dementia Live and Embodied Labs programs.
From group virtual reality to hands-on education, participants will gain a greater understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other cognitive changes—and consider how those changes can shape everyday experiences.
During this program, participants will:
- Build a foundational understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
- Experience empathy-based learning designed to illuminate cognitive change
- Consider how cognitive changes can affect everyday experiences
- Strengthen understanding that can inform more supportive interactions
