About this Event
Join us for A Light for Jane Doe, a candlelight vigil and community gathering dedicated to standing in solidarity with Jane Doe and all survivors of sexual violence.
This evening is about more than lighting candles. It's about creating space for compassion, reflection and collective action.
What to Expect
Throughout the evening, attendees will be invited to participate in:
- A Candlelight Vigil: A shared moment of reflection and solidarity.
- Community Remarks: Words of support, encouragement and advocacy.
- Survivor Support & Resources: Information and resources for survivors, loved ones, and community members who want to make a difference.
- Moments of Reflection: Opportunities to pause, connect and stand together in support of survivors.
- A Call to Action: Simple, meaningful ways to continue supporting survivors and advocating for change beyond this gathering.
Why We Gather
Sexual violence impacts individuals, families and entire communities. No survivor should have to navigate their experience alone, and every survivor deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
We hope to remind survivors that they are not alone, encourage meaningful conversations about sexual violence and consent, and inspire continued advocacy and community support.
Whether you are a survivor, someone who loves a survivor, an advocate, or a community member who simply wants to show support, you are welcome here.
A Note on Participation
We recognize that conversations surrounding sexual violence can be deeply personal and emotionally difficult. This gathering is intended to be a respectful, compassionate and supportive space.
Participation in any portion of the evening is entirely voluntary. No one will be asked or expected to share their personal experiences.
Together, we can carry the light forward.
