As autumn slowly gives way to winter, the natural world begins to soften. Leaves fall, birds migrate, daylight fades, and the landscape prepares for its season of rest.Join Naturalist in Residence Qwantese Winters for a restorative evening of listening and stillness. Through an immersive nature soundscape, gentle guided reflection, and intentional rest, we'll begin preparing ourselves for winter's quieter rhythms.
Participants are invited to settle into a comfortable position, close their eyes, and simply listen. This is not a meditation class or a lecture—it is an invitation to experience the beauty of slowing down before the first snowfall.
The Naturalist-in-Residence program is hosted in partnership with Madison Parks and is made possible thanks to a generous donation from Nancy Leff and Kenneth Lerner.
This program is part of the Naturalist-in-Residence series of events. See the full lineup, read Qwantese's full bio, and learn how to pick up a commemorative art poster at madpl.org/naturalist.
