About Katy Free
Based in Pensacola, Florida, jazz chanteuse and songwriter Katy Free brings warmth, personality, and a deeply expressive voice to every performance. Rooted in the Great American Songbook, her music draws inspiration from legendary artists like Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, Joni Mitchell, and Linda Ronstadt.
With a background in classical voice, musical theatre, and jazz, Katy has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and studied musicology and jazz voice at the University of Tennessee. After stepping away from performing for several years, she returned to the stage with a renewed passion for storytelling and musical connection. She is currently working on her full-length album, Never Say Never, blending original compositions with fresh interpretations of familiar favorites.
About Tara Janique
Tara Janique is a soulful jazz vocalist whose polished presence, expressive voice, and natural elegance bring something special to every stage she graces. A formally trained musician with a Bachelor of Science in Music from Alcorn State University and a Master of Music Education from William Carey University, Tara combines technical artistry with warmth and personality.
Her performance experience includes Carnegie Hall, the MOJO Gulf Coast Ethnic & Heritage Jazz Festival, and stages throughout the Gulf South, including The People's Room of Mobile. She has also performed with her ensemble, Tara Janique & Company, and released her debut jazz recording, a personal arrangement of the classic On the Sunny Side of the Street.
