A Homebuying Opportunity for Colorado Public School Employees

This class will explain how eligible Colorado public school employees may use the CHFA Schools to Home program to make purchasing a home more affordable.

Attendees will learn:

• Who qualifies, including eligible full-time public school, district, charter school, BOCES, and innovation zone employees
• How the program may provide down payment assistance of up to 25% of the first mortgage amount
• How assistance can be used for the down payment, closing costs, prepaid expenses, or principal reduction
• Key credit, income, education, and borrower contribution requirements
• How the no-monthly-payment second mortgage works
• When repayment is required
• How the shared-appreciation feature may affect future home equity

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the program’s benefits, long-term obligations, and the steps needed to determine eligibility.
