A special holiday musical performance of Serenity House: From Addiction to Deliverance, penned by Baltimore native and award-winning Playwright Ursula V. Battle, will be performed Saturday, December 5, 2026 (3 p.m.) and Sunday, December 6, 2026 (3 p.m.) at Huber Community Life Center, 5700 Loch Raven Blvd. in Baltimore. GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY!

Actress/Singer (Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion & What's Done In The Dark) headlines the performance and will play the role of "Sharon Brown." The performances will also feature the ministerial and singing talents of , Pastor of Family Life Global Ministries who will portray “Pastor Wright Just.”
National recording artist of The Choir Boyz (Watch Me Work), along with powerhouse soloists C.C. Bowen and K. Jefferson, are also among the cadre of performers.
The production's Theatrical Director is the highly-regarded Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch and the Musical Director for the performances is musician extraordinaire Howard "Buddy" Lakins.
The production’s storyline centers around the journey six men and women - who are three months in recovery, take after arriving at the imaginary United in Victory Tabernacle on the Hill Freewill Catholic Baptist and Episcopal Church of God in Christ’s newly opened “Serenity House.”
Through music, ministry, an unforgettable story, comedy, and dance, Serenity House: From Addiction to Deliverance takes a heart-wrenching, yet heart-warming look at the devastating impact that addiction has on society – particularly on families that in some cases, spans generations.
The production speaks to addiction across multiple platforms, including eating disorders and prescription drug abuse. Serenity House: From Addiction to Deliverance also touches on domestic violence, incest, and child sex trafficking.
The piece enlightens and educates about the dangers of drugs while providing encouragement, resources for help, and a resounding message about the transformative power of forgiveness.

Dr. Branch's (Desperate Housewives of The Bible: The Old, The Bold & The Beautiful, The Teachers' Lounge, The WIZ, DisChord in The Choir: Pitch Please!) interest in Medicine can be traced back to his childhood, seeing a former neighbor struggle with addiction, who ultimately succumbs to an overdose.
