A Gathering of Hope: Recovery Walk and Picnic is the Butler County Opioid Overdose Coalition's annual event to celebrate and encourage people in recovery and have a fun, substance free event for friends and family! This free event will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10am-2pm at the Rotary Pavilion in Butler Memorial Park (100 Memorial Park Drive, Butler).Activities for the day include a balloon artist, face painting, handwriting analysis, photo booth, DJ, volleyball, corn hole, arts and crafts and an opportunity to relax during a yoga session. A short recovery walk will take place on the park trail and into town for those who are interested and able. REGISTERING BY SEPTEMBER 3RD will guarantee you a FREE t-shirt, a drawstring backpack, and tickets for door prizes. A free lunch will be provided.
