About this Event
Join us at Kirrawee Library+ as presenters from Cavalcade of Fashion showcase their collection of swimwear, a look at the changing silhouette of swimwear in Australia’s past and the influences driving those changes – the changing social attitudes; need for movement; new technologies, and evolution of new fabric types. Most of the swimwear items were worn by everyday Australians and donated to the collection, a fascinating reflection of our Australian society over the decades.
Experience the history of the swimsuit in a unique and engaging way with a walk down memory lane. Stories will be brought to life with garment displays, original accessories and captivating stories.
