Join the Center for Contemporary Printmaking’s Executive Director Kimberly Henrikson and artists Helen Barnett and Kathy Caraccio for a panel discussion exploring the life, work, and legacy of Andrew Stasik (1932–2022), the influential printmaker, educator, and arts leader who co-founded the Center in 1995 alongside Grace Ross Shanley and Michael Costello.Presented alongside "A Founder’s Feast: Highlights from the Andrew Stasik Archive," this conversation reflects on Stasik’s artistic practice, his contributions to the printmaking community, and his lasting influence on the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. Inspired by the works on view, the panel will explore the recurring forms, motifs, and explorations of color, shape, and memory that characterized his work, offering an opportunity to consider Stasik’s enduring artistic legacy and his place in the history of contemporary printmaking.
The discussion will take place in the gallery, surrounded by works from Stasik’s archive.
Free and open to the public.
