On Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted and miserly old man, is visited by the ghost of his long-dead business partner, Jacob Marley. Warned to change his ways, Scrooge is taken on an extraordinary journey through Christmases Past, Present and Yet to Come. As the night unfolds, he is offered one final chance to change his future… but will he take it?This Christmas, This Is My Theatre celebrates its 10th anniversary with a very special reimagining of the production that has become a firm festive favourite.
Performed in the magnificent surroundings of Lancing College, this atmospheric new staging brings Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol vividly to life, drawing extensively from Dickens’ original text to tell the story with all the humour, darkness, warmth and humanity of the much-loved novel.
Filled with traditional Christmas carols woven throughout the story, this production combines Dickens’ unforgettable characters and timeless words with music and theatrical storytelling to create a wonderfully evocative celebration of Christmas.
