Bah, humbug to sitting still! Silicon Valley Shakespeare returns to the 175-acre grounds of Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga with an immersive, roving production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, running December 4–20, 2026. Audiences will follow Scrooge through the historic Villa, elegant courtyards, and scenic pathways as Dickens’ holiday classic unfolds around them. The journey covers approximately 1,000 steps, so comfortable shoes are highly encouraged.For the first time, this season’s production will be presented by an all-female and nonbinary cast. Fezziwig’s Yuletide returns on Saturday, December 12th with drinks and buffet-style bites before the evening performance, along with photo opportunities with select actors.
The production takes place rain or shine. In the event of rain, the story will continue along a modified route through indoor and covered areas of the grounds. The Sunday, December 13th performance will be non-roving and fully seated at Montalvo’s Carriage House, while the Thursday, December 17th performance will be ASL-interpreted.
Capacity is limited to 60 theatregoers per performance, so buy your tickets before they become a thing of Christmas Past.
