This Christmas, DuffleBag Theatre brings Charles Dickens’ beloved holiday classic to Lighthouse Festival with plenty of laughter, imagination and festive fun for the whole family!Ebenezer Scrooge is Victorian London’s most notorious penny-pincher. He loves counting his money, dislikes making friends and considers Christmas cheer an entirely unnecessary expense. Carols? Humbug! Presents? Wasteful! Goodwill toward others? Sounds suspiciously expensive!
But on one extraordinary Christmas Eve, Scrooge receives some unexpected visitors, and they definitely didn’t make an appointment. A series of spirits whisk him away on a magical journey through Christmases past, present and future, where he encounters old memories, surprising truths and a glimpse of what awaits him if he doesn’t change his miserly ways.
Featuring all the familiar favourites, from the festive Fezziwig to the lovable Tiny Tim, DuffleBag Theatre’s exuberant version of A Christmas Carol puts a playful spin on the Charles Dickens classic. Filled with humour, heart and holiday magic, this lively family show is perfect for children, parents, grandparents and even the biggest “Bah, humbug!” in your household.
Gather the whole family and celebrate the season at Lighthouse Festival with a Christmas adventure for audiences of all ages!
