“A Celebration of the Work: In Memory of George Judy”Please join us on October 18th 7-9pm at Mid City Civic Theatre for a celebration of the work of George Judy and the theatres he so generously devoted his time and talents to during his legendary career. The program will highlight the work of local and regional theatres George supported with short offerings about those theatre’s missions and how George represented and impacted their work. If you are the leader of a nonprofit theatre and would like to speak during this time please email Shannon Walsh at [email protected].
This section will be followed by short reminiscences and offerings from the community. If you’d like to share a memory of George’s work during that time, please fill out the form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12EiyFHwG-d8PqyFXRH3B70qA_tRjpT38R0oxBo-QKb4/edit. You can also submit photos of George to the same form.
The program will be followed by a potluck in the social room with a cash bar and theatre geek fellowship that would elicit George’s characteristic guffaw. Please let us know if you plan to bring food in the Sign Up Genius here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084AA5AD28AAF49-66419258-acelebration.
Everyone is welcome! In lieu of flowers the family asks folks to donate to non-profit theatres. QR codes for donating to the ones George worked with and impacted will be available in the lobby on Sunday.
