Join us for a special evening celebrating the history of the bells at St James in this, our centenary year.Through an illustrated talk, we’ll explore the story of the bells, their place in the life of the church, and some of the people who have rung them over the years.
There’ll also be a chance to get involved yourself with a hands-on introduction to handbell ringing. Find out how bellringers learn to ring changes and have a go at ringing a few yourself!
With a glass of wine, some cheese and plenty of bell-ringing history, it promises to be an enjoyable and fascinating evening - whether you know your bell ropes from your handbells or are simply curious to find out more.
Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket link.
All proceeds will go to support the church and its bells.
