You're familiar with many of Jesus’ parables. But have you ever wondered how these stories must have sounded to his first listeners - strange, scary, crazy?Join us starting October 13 as we read and discuss “Short Stories by Jesus - the enigmatic parables of a controversial rabbi” by Amy-Jill Levine. We will try to hear these familiar stories with new ears. How were they understood by Jesus’ first followers? How can we understand them in a new light? What do they mean in today’s world?
