This event is in-person/onsite only.
The Australian Translational Breast Cancer Research Symposium is a unique event in the Australian research calendar. Its objective is to bring together the breast cancer research community, spanning basic and clinically-focussed research, for two days of updates in cutting-edge translational breast cancer research.
We encourage researchers and clinicians of all stages of their careers to join us.
The scientific program will begin 12.30pm Thursday the 1st Oct. and conclude at 3.30pm Friday the 2nd Oct. Thursday evening will feature a poster session with wine and canapés in the Garvan lobby — a valuable opportunity for early- and mid-career researchers to share their work and connect with leaders in the field. We strongly encourage trainees and ECRs to submit abstracts by 1st September. Several oral presentations will be selected from abstracts.

Registration
Registration is free, but essential for catering etc. It includes lunch on both days, coffee breaks and a poster session with refreshments & hors d’oeuvres.

Abstract submission
During registration you will have the option to submit an Abstract during registration (or you may just indicate you intend to submit one and email it to [email protected] by 1 Sept 2026).
Abstract body has a 250 word limit.
Submissions for posters and a limited number of talks are invited.
You will be contacted via email after the deadline with oral/poster selection and details for presentation preparation.
Prizes will be awarded for best posters (based on career category).
Abstracts close: midnight 1st September, 2026
