The physical practices of 9 Elements Yoga are designed to help us connect with and relate to the qualities and energies that the elements represent.
We use movement as well as visualization to enhance our connection with the elements themselves.
Utilizing the metaphor of the elements as focal points, we cultivate a state of mindβbody harmony. Consciously interacting with the elements, we connect to the fundamental principles that support life as we know it.
We use the classical designation of elements:
π Earth
π§ Water
π₯ Fire
π¬οΈ Air
β¦but we also include the elements of Yin β―οΈ and Yang, Space π, Time β³, and The Great Mystery β¨.
These nine elements symbolically allow us to refine our energy and utilize it more effectively in the world around us and within us.
ποΈ About the Training
9 Elements Yoga Teacher Training will guide you in the art of laya yoga (using the chakras and elements).
We blend Qi gongβlike energy movements with asana practice to bring greater awareness and harmony. We strengthen our connection to life while also creating the opportunity for transcendent realization.
Classes are taught live to keep everyone accountable and on track.
β¨β¨β¨This training is designed for yoga teachers, but those with a background or history of regular yoga practice may be eligible.

π Course Outline
Six weeks of online morning yoga is mandatory.
Meeting for 6 hours on 6 consecutive Sundays.
We will examine the philosophical foundations of 9 Elements Yoga, as well as class structure and teaching methods.
β¨β¨β¨ A successful Graduate will have:
βοΈ Six weeks of online morning yoga
βοΈ Attended all required classes
βοΈ Completed the journal assignments
βοΈ Completed one research assignment
βοΈ Taught a full class
βοΈ Passed the final exam

9:00β9:30am β Introduction and review of last weekβs material
9:30β10:30am β One-hour Nine Elements class
10:30β11:30am β Yoga philosophy of Nine Elements Yoga
11:30β12:30pm β Lunch break π²
12:30β2:00pm β Energy work and the elements.
Learning the base form for 9 Elements Yoga.
Teach-backs β taking what we learn and teaching it back to each other.
2:00β3:00pm β Breathwork and meditation
Practice and instruction in pranayama and meditation.

Christopher Love has been a life long pursuer of the truth. He has been regularly practicing yoga for thirty years. After studying philospophy at Conordia, Christopher traveled to India where he traveled and studied yoga and Buddhism. In addition to his yoga practices Christopher was profoundly influenced by indigenous wisdom through his native teacher Roy. He guided Christopher toward self realization, advising him to let go if his material attachments. Christopher spent 2 (2000-2001) years living unhoused in Toronto and Montreal focusing on prayer and meditation. This led to an inner awakening which is the foundation of 9 Elements Yoga.
Christopher trained as a yoga teacher in Maudri, India In 2008 and has been teaching ever since.
Nine Elements yoga is the synthesis of his experiences of yoga through his personal practice and meditation. Blending Qi gong like movements, Hath yoga breathwork and meditation 9 Elements yoga is a complete well being practice for life.
