We are pleased to announce Rhythm n Blues legends Nine Below Zero will be appearing at Strings on Friday 14 May 2027 as part of their 50th Anniversary tour. NBZ formed in South London in 1977 and were originally known as Stan's Blues Band. They built a fierce live reputation on London’s pub circuit and peak popularity in the early 1980s. Led throughout by guitarist Dennis Greaves and harmonica player Mark Feltham, they famously appeared in the first-ever episode of the cult comedy show The Young Ones performing their track "11+11".
Since 1988 they have released a further 20 LP's in an incredible career and Mark Feltham has also been selected as harmonica-player by a whole host of acts including Oasis, Annie Lennox, Talk Talk and Rory Gallagher.
Nine Below Zero toured with The Who and The Kinks in 1980 / 81 and also appeared on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' - some of you may remember this . . .
