You're Invited: 8th Annual Veterans & First Responders Appreciation Event Hosted by Fellowship Power Lunch
Event Details
Date: Wednesday, November 18th
Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Embassy Suites, Frisco, TX
Featured Speaker: U.S. Army Green Beret, @Nate Boyer
We are honored to welcome Nate Boyer as our special guest speaker this year. Nate is a U.S. Army Green Beret, Bronze Star recipient, and combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. While serving overseas, he trained himself to walk on to the University of Texas Longhorns football team — with no prior organized football experience — and went on to hold the No. 1 long-snapper position for three seasons. In 2015, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks at age 34, becoming the oldest rookie in NFL history, and had the honor of leading the team out of the tunnel carrying the American flag.
Nate is also the Co-Founder of Merging Vets & Players (MVP), an organization he built with NFL insider Jay Glazer to help veterans and athletes navigate life transitions together. In 2020, he co-wrote, produced, directed, and starred in MVP, a film based on the organization's founding story.
We can't wait for you to hear his story.
