📼 BACK TO THE 80s… BUT WITH MORE GRAPEVINES! 📼Dust off the leg warmers, locate something offensively neon and prepare to party like it’s 1985… except with considerably more line dancing.
Our 80s THEMED LINE DANCE SOCIAL is coming! 🕺💃
Expect brilliant song swaps, ridiculous tunes, questionable fashion choices and enough hairspray to constitute its own weather system.
We’ll have our favourite dances, some classic 80s dances thrown in the mix, games, silliness and the sort of organised dance-floor chaos we’ve all come to expect.
There’s NO food at this social, so please feel free to bring your own snacks and nibbles to keep your dancing batteries charged. There will be a bar... and...
...there WILL be a prize for the BEST DECORATED TABLE!🏆📼
And this is where things may get competitive.
We want to see neon. Rubik’s Cubes. Cassette tapes. Pac-Man. Boom boxes. Leg warmers. Glow sticks. Inflatable microphones. Possibly an inexplicable amount of tinsel.
If your table looks as though the 1980s has exploded enthusiastically upon it, you’re probably doing it correctly.
80s fancy dress is VERY much encouraged too.
Big hair. Bigger shoulder pads. Lycra in colours not normally found in nature. Sweatbands worn by people who have absolutely no intention of jogging.
The 80s gave us MTV, Pac-Man, cassette tapes and some truly astonishing fashion decisions.
We’re bringing them all back for one night.
What could possibly go wrong?
At least it’ll have an excellent soundtrack. 📼🕺
