🎉 Big hair, bold moves & belting it out — it’s time to go full 80s! 💃 🕺 Join us at The Wallaby Hotel on Hotel on Thursday October 15 for Hops & Harmony’s 80s Singalong ⚡ 🎤Sing your heart out to the biggest hits of the decade — from Bon Jovi and Journey to Whitney, The Bangles, Michael Jackson and Madonna. AND for an extra-special moment, we’ll be hitting some 3 part harmony's in one unique arrangement!
This is a low-pressure, high-fun singalong — we’ll warm up with a few crowd favourites, learn one epic song together, then sing our faces off to all the hits of the 80’s 🤘🏼
🎤 Led by Jamie Lee Wilson (aka JVMIE) — professional singer, award-winning songwriter… and part-time Dancing Queen.
Will you sound amazing? Maybe. Will you have a bloody great time singing your face off at The Lou Lou Room? Absolutely.
No microphones, no pressure — just a room full of voices, good vibes, and the ultimate 80s soundtrack.
✨ Dress up encouraged (the more outrageous, the better)
🎤 Shower singers welcome
🪩 Singing mandatory
WHAT IS HOPS & HARMONY?
Hops & Harmony is a bar choir experience where anyone — and we mean anyone — can join in. No experience, no sheet music, nothing to prepare. You’ll be taught everything on the night and sing as part of the group.
“WHAT IF I CAN’T SING?
”Perfect. You’ll fit right in.This is about having fun singing together, not sounding perfect. If you can sing in the shower or the car, you’re overqualified.
MEET YOUR CONDUCTOR
Jamie Lee Wilson (aka JVMIE) is a Billboard & ARIA-charting singer-songwriter and QLD Conservatorium graduate who’s led choirs and singalongs across Queensland and beyond. Her thing? Turning rooms full of strangers into one loud, joyful community — very quickly.
