8 Oct Thur AI & Chess School Holiday Program for Kids - Chess Themed Camp

Spring School Holiday Program – AI + Chess Camp

Thu 8 October: Build Your Own AI Game

Join us for a fun and creative AI + Chess Camp during the Spring school holidays! This special one-day program combines hands-on AI game creation in the morning with structured chess training in the afternoon. It is designed for students aged 8–13 who are curious about technology, creativity, problem-solving, and chess.

Morning AI Workshop: AI Game Builder

In the morning, students will become young game creators and build their very own playable game!

Using the Ainstein Platform, students will explore how games are designed and learn how rules, scoring, player actions, and challenges work together to create an engaging game experience.

Students will explore:

• What they’ll learn: Game logic, rules, scoring, and debugging
• Tools: Ainstein Platform and beginner-friendly AI creation tools
• What they’ll create: Their own playable game that they can test and share

Students will be encouraged to use their imagination to design characters, challenges, goals, and game mechanics while learning how to improve their project through testing and problem-solving.

By the end of the workshop, each student will have created a working game they can play and share with family and friends.

No previous coding or game-development experience is required.

Afternoon Chess Workshop

After lunch, students will move on to chess training, where they will be grouped by age and skill level.

Whether your child is new to chess or already has tournament experience, our coaches will provide suitable lessons and activities to help them improve.

Students may work on:

• Newcomers: Learning the chessboard, piece movement, captures, check, and checkmate basics
• Beginners: Practising simple tactics, opening principles, and basic checkmate patterns
• Intermediate & Advanced Players: Improving calculation, middlegame planning, positional understanding, and game analysis

The afternoon will include chess lessons, puzzles, practice games, and review, helping students apply what they learn in real games.

Why Choose Our AI + Chess Camp?

• Create a Real Game: Students don’t just play games, they learn how to design and build one themselves.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Children learn to think through game rules, challenges, scoring, and how to fix problems when something doesn’t work.
• Chess Thinking Skills: Chess helps develop focus, logic, patience, calculation, and problem-solving ability.
• Small Group Learning: Students receive more individual guidance and support.
• Balanced Holiday Program: A great combination of technology, creativity, strategy, and fun.
