ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Since its founding, ETCOR Educational Research Center (ETCOR Philippines) has remained steadfast in its mission to help individuals and institutions embrace the culture of research through accessible lectures, research coaching, mentoring, capability-building activities, scholarly publication, and collaborative academic initiatives. What began as advocacy projects such as Project SAGIP MANANALIKSIK—offering research assistance through free group lectures and one-on-one mentoring—has grown into an expanding international research community that brings together educators, researchers, professionals, students, practitioners, authors, and institutions from diverse fields.
The ETCOR International Research Conference Series traces its beginnings to 2020, when ETCOR piloted its first research conference in collaboration with local and national partners. This initial undertaking established the foundation for what would become a continuing platform for scholarly exchange, research capability-building, professional development, and international collaboration.
In 2021, ETCOR took another significant step by formally institutionalizing its Series of International Research Capability-Building Seminar-Workshop cum International Research Conference. The initiative brought together research training and scholarly presentation, allowing participants not only to present their research but also to strengthen their competencies in research conceptualization, methodology, data analysis, academic writing, publication, and dissemination. Through this model, ETCOR further developed its commitment to making research education and scholarly engagement more accessible to participants from different institutions and professional backgrounds.
In 2022, ETCOR launched its 1st International Multidisciplinary Virtual Research Conference, held on June 24–26. The conference marked an important milestone in ETCOR’s continuing internationalization and was organized in partnership with the Philippine Nurses Association–Hail Region Chapter, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Mirwais Neeka Institute of Higher Education, Afghanistan; and Mabalacat City College, Philippines.
The 2022 conference likewise demonstrated ETCOR’s belief that research should extend beyond academic institutions and contribute to communities. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Mabalacat City College and ETCOR was formally signed, strengthening their shared commitment to research development, academic excellence, and international engagement. Separate partnerships were likewise established with international institutions and organizations.
Beyond research and academic exchange, the conference reflected ETCOR’s continuing advocacy for social responsibility and humanitarian service. Conference-related support was extended to the Bahay Pag-ibig Home for the Aged in Barangay Telabastagan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Through this initiative, ETCOR demonstrated that research culture can be connected with compassion, community engagement, and service to society.
Later in 2022, ETCOR strengthened its international network through its partnership with Vivekananda Global University–Jaipur, India, for the 2nd International Multidisciplinary Virtual Research Conference. These activities further expanded ETCOR’s international academic linkages and established the conference series as a venue for researchers from different countries and disciplines to share knowledge and experiences.
By 2023, ETCOR’s conference series had further developed into a broader platform for collaborative research engagement. The 3rd International Conference continued to bring together consultants, researchers, educators, students, professionals, and partner institutions. At the same time, ETCOR continued linking scholarly activities with its broader institutional advocacies, reinforcing the principle that research is not an end in itself but a means of generating knowledge that can contribute to communities, institutions, professions, and society.
The years 2024 and 2025 further expanded ETCOR’s international research activities. The 4th and 5th International Conferences strengthened the conference tradition of combining research paper presentations, capability-building activities, book launching, professional networking, and recognition of scholarly and humanitarian contributions. These gatherings provided researchers and professionals with opportunities to disseminate findings, exchange ideas, establish collaborations, and celebrate achievements in research and related fields.
In 2025, ETCOR reached another significant milestone through the staging of the 6th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Research and Education on November 6–8 at the Prince Palace Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Carrying the theme “Embracing the Culture of Research and Aligning Inquiry with Contemporary Global Challenges,” the conference brought together educators, researchers, professionals, and scholars from different countries and disciplinary backgrounds.
The Bangkok conference further demonstrated the expanding scope of ETCOR’s international academic network. It featured research paper presentations, book launching activities, the ETCOR Awards Night, international partnership initiatives, and educational benchmarking activities. A major milestone was the formalization of a five-year partnership between ETCOR Educational Research Center and the Samarth Group of Institutions, India, strengthening ETCOR’s international collaboration in research trainings, conferences, and paper presentations.
The 6th conference also incorporated an academic school visit to Assumption College Thonburi in Bangkok, Thailand, providing participants with an opportunity to observe an educational institution in another national context and engage in cross-cultural academic learning. Such activities reflect ETCOR’s broader understanding of research as a means of connecting people, institutions, disciplines, cultures, and communities.
Building a Broader Conference and Academic Engagement Network
Beyond its own annual International Multidisciplinary Conference Series, ETCOR Educational Research Center has increasingly participated in and co-organized major academic, research, professional development, and multidisciplinary gatherings with established higher education institutions, professional organizations, and academic networks. These engagements have expanded ETCOR’s experience and institutional network across education, research, professional development, journalism, communication, tourism, hospitality, agriculture, culture, technology, and other fields. Among these initiatives was ETCOR’s collaboration with Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) as Co-Organizer of the 4th International Conference on Pedagogical Research and Innovations (ICPRI) 2025, held on December 3–5, 2025, in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, under the theme “Local Flexibility Meets Global Quality: Leveraging Academic and Agro-Forestry Advancements.” The conference carried the endorsement of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), providing an important national and international platform for researchers, educators, and innovators. ETCOR has likewise established institutional partnerships with organizations such as Emilio Aguinaldo College–Cavite and Liceo de Cagayan University and other institutions, strengthening opportunities for collaborative research, capability-building, conferences, publications, mentoring, and other academic and professional activities. These engagements reflect ETCOR’s continuing development as a research-focused organization capable of working alongside higher education institutions and professional partners in advancing scholarly exchange and research-driven professional development.
ETCOR’s conference and academic engagements have also expanded into journalism, campus media, communication, and emerging technologies through its partnership with the School Press Advisers’ Movement, Inc. (SPAM, Inc.). In 2026, ETCOR and SPAM, Inc. collaborated in the 17th National Campus Media Conference (NCMC) 2026 and its 4th International Research Conference on Media and Community Development (IRCMCD), with the research presentation component receiving PRC-CPD accreditation under Program Accreditation Number PTR-2025-749-13483. The collaboration provides a professional and scholarly platform for educators, journalism advisers, campus journalists, communication scholars, media practitioners, and researchers, while also connecting conference research presentations with publication opportunities through ETCOR’s International Journal of Journalism and Campus Media Practice (IJ-CAMP). This partnership illustrates ETCOR’s expanding engagement beyond conventional academic disciplines and its ability to connect professional conferences, research dissemination, continuing professional development, and scholarly publication. Similarly, ETCOR has collaborated with St. Bridget College in conducting PRC-CPD-accredited professional development activities, including programs addressing artificial intelligence, teaching, guidance, and social engagement. Together with its collaborations with NVSU, SPAM, Inc., Emilio Aguinaldo College–Cavite, OPFBEX, and other institutional partners, these initiatives demonstrate ETCOR’s continuing participation in recognized academic, professional, and multidisciplinary engagements and its growing network of schools, universities, organizations, researchers, and professionals in the Philippines and abroad.
Recent Multidisciplinary Engagement: OPFBEX 2026
A particularly significant example of this expanding multidisciplinary network was ETCOR’s participation as the Main Organizer of the OPFBEX 2026 International Research, Innovation, and Education Conference, held on September 19–20, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Clark, Pampanga, together with OPFBEX, Nueva Vizcaya State University, and School Press Advisers’ Movement, Inc. (SPAM, Inc.). Carrying the theme “Research, Innovation, Education, and Heritage: Advancing Learning, Sustainability, and Professional Excellence for Food, Tourism, Hospitality, Agriculture, and Cultural Development,” the conference brought together researchers, educators, professionals, students, industry practitioners, government representatives, and cultural advocates. The conference demonstrated how research can connect seemingly distinct fields, including food, agriculture, tourism, hospitality, education, culture, heritage, innovation, and sustainable development.
The conference further featured a keynote address by CHED Central Office Director Dr. Lora L. Yusi, who highlighted the role of higher education in generating evidence-based solutions, nurturing innovation, advancing sustainable development, and promoting local and indigenous knowledge systems. The event also provided a platform for research presentations addressing tourism, hospitality, green practices, digital technologies, cultural destinations, Kapampangan identity, and related areas. Through OPFBEX 2026, ETCOR and its partners demonstrated the value of bringing academe, industry, government, researchers, students, and communities together in a shared research environment. The undertaking further strengthened ETCOR’s position within a growing network of multidisciplinary academic and professional engagements while demonstrating how research conferences can serve not only as venues for scholarly presentation but also as spaces for institutional collaboration, professional development, publication, innovation, cultural preservation, and community-oriented research.
The 7th International Multidisciplinary Conference
Building on this expanding tradition of research conferences, institutional partnerships, PASUC-endorsed academic engagements, PRC-CPD-accredited professional learning activities, multidisciplinary collaborations, publication initiatives, and international academic linkages, ETCOR Educational Research Center, together with its national and international partners, proudly presents the 7th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Research, Innovation, Education, and Global Development, to be held on December 26–28, 2026, at Sheraton Manila Bay, Manila, Philippines.
The 7th conference carries the theme: “Embracing the Culture of Research: Advancing Knowledge, Innovation, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Sustainable Solutions for a Changing World”

Continuing the Culture of Research
The 7th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Research, Innovation, Education, and Global Development represents another chapter in ETCOR’s continuing journey from a small research advocacy initiative to an expanding international community of scholars, professionals, institutions, and research advocates.
From the pioneering activities of 2020 to the international conferences that followed, ETCOR has continuously sought to create spaces where people can learn research, conduct research, present research, publish research, collaborate through research, and use research in the service of society.
The 7th conference continues this tradition while opening its doors even more widely to disciplines and professions beyond traditional education and research fields. It recognizes that the challenges facing communities and societies today are increasingly interconnected and that meaningful solutions may require knowledge from multiple disciplines working together.
As ETCOR continues to embrace the culture of research, the 7th International Multidisciplinary Conference seeks to bring together diverse voices and perspectives in a shared environment of knowledge exchange, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, professional learning, cultural understanding, and scholarly engagement.
Ultimately, the conference seeks to strengthen a community where research is not confined by disciplinary boundaries but is encouraged to connect knowledge, inspire innovation, support evidence-informed practice, preserve culture and heritage, develop people and institutions, and contribute to sustainable and meaningful solutions for a changing world.
Through this continuing journey, ETCOR remains committed to its vision of cultivating a community that searches for truth through research and advances knowledge with service, excellence, integrity, collaboration, and social responsibility.
