In November, come hear from Chuck Smith, vice president of planning at Preston Development Company. As the developer’s planning lead, he's had a significant hand in Chatham Park as a long-term investment in the town and its future generations.🏗️The roughly 7,000-acre community north of downtown Pittsboro is expected to bring up to 60,000 residents, 22,000 homes, and 22 million square feet of office, research, retail, and community space by 2045.
That vision is taking visible shape: Knight Farm Community Park 🛝, the first of five parks planned for the Vineyard Park area, is part of 2,000 acres set aside for outdoor space, and Preston funded the $3 million project and donated it to the Town.
Chuck is also at the center of Chatham Park’s next big chapter. Southern Land Co. plans a 1,271-acre master-planned community within Chatham Park, anchored by a private golf club ⛳ with an 18-hole course, a 9-hole short course, and learning and practice facilities designed by renowned golf architect Tom Fazio.
