Put on your costume and head out for one of Hershey’s longest-running Halloween traditions. The 78th Annual Hershey Halloween Parade returns to Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, bringing local community groups, parade participants and spectators together for an evening of Halloween fun.
The parade starts at 7:00 PM from the Derry Township Community Center and winds through the surrounding streets before making its way back to the community center. If you’re looking for a Halloween parade in Hershey, PA, this is a chance to spend the evening watching the community come together in costume and celebration.
What can you expect?
Expect a traditional community Halloween parade with costumed participants, local organizations and plenty of Halloween spirit along the route.
Want to be part of it rather than just watch? Parade participation is open through an application process, with community groups being prioritized when participants are selected. Keep in mind that submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the parade.
For spectators, the best part is simply finding a comfortable spot along the route and watching the parade make its way through the community as the evening gets underway.
Hershey Halloween Parade route
The parade begins at the Derry Township Community Center, then follows this route:
Derry Township Community Center → Elm Avenue → Ridge Road → Chocolate Avenue → Cocoa Avenue → Derry Township Community Center.
Because the parade loops back to the community center, you have several points along the route where you can watch the procession rather than needing to stay in one place for the entire evening.
What to watch out for
Arrive before 7 PM. If you want a good viewing spot, give yourself enough time to get settled before the parade begins.
Expect local road activity around the route. The parade travels through several residential and main-road sections, so allow extra time if you're driving into the area.
Check the route before you go. With the parade moving through Elm Avenue, Ridge Road, Chocolate Avenue and Cocoa Avenue, knowing where you want to watch beforehand can make the evening much easier.
Want to march? Apply early. Community groups are prioritized for participation, and submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
