Short Strolls & Socials -LangleyShort walks. Slower pace. Good company.
Want to get out walking, explore somewhere new and meet some lovely people, but don’t fancy a long distance walk? Also fancy a drink at the end?
Short Strolls & Socials are made for you.
These are relaxed, slower paced walks of no more than 3 miles, designed so that you can enjoy being outdoors without pace or distance becoming a barrier.
Each walk is circular, so we finish exactly where we started, and every stroll ends with a drink and a chance to sit down, chat and get to know the people you’ve been walking with.
For our very first Short Stroll, we’re heading to Langley and The Potting Shed,
The stroll
Starting from The Potting Shed in Langley, we’ll head out into the surrounding countryside and make our way towards Langley Loch.
From there, we’ll follow quiet paths through open fields and orchards before heading towards Otham Hole. The route takes in some lovely Kent countryside, with plenty of time to slow down, take in the views and enjoy being outside. We’ll then make our way back towards Langley, completing our circular route at The Potting Shed.
No rushing and no worrying about keeping up. Just a lovely little walk, some beautiful countryside and good company.
Then it’s time to socialise
The best part of a Short Stroll? We don’t just say goodbye when we get back.
Your ticket includes a soft drink of your choice at The Potting Shed, giving us the chance to sit down together, have a chat and properly finish the morning.
The Potting Shed is a welcoming village pub with a relaxed, open plan feel, a spacious garden and plenty of character, making it a lovely spot to unwind after our stroll.
Whether you come with friends or arrive on your own, you’re invited to stay for the social part too.
New to the group?
You are very welcome.
Short Strolls & Socials are particularly suited to anyone who might feel nervous about joining a walking group for the first time.
You don’t need to be an experienced walker, you don’t need to be super speedy and you certainly don’t need to know anyone before you arrive. Around 80% of our members come to our walks on their own, and it is one of the things people love most about being part of the group.
Come along, enjoy a gentle walk, meet some new people and see where the morning takes you.
