It's Wimpy Time again. Time for the 6th annual Wimpy Mile, the USATF certified, downhill race/walk/stroll, Saturday, Feb. 13. Start time is 10 a.m. in Hancock Park, downtown Dahlonega. Onsite registration begins at 8 a.m. in the park. Pre-registration is now underway at runsignup.com/thewimpymile. Race fees are $35.
The Wimpy Mile, the fastest mile in Dahlonega, starts in Hancock Park and goes down Wiimpy Mile Road, an 178' elevation drop, to Yahoola Reservoir boat ramp.
Each registered Wimpy participant receives a race shirt, and every registered finisher earns a Wimpy medal. Prizes go to the top men and women finishers
People and pets of ages and skill levels...from certified racers to families to seniors with walkers... are encouraged to participate in this Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club fundraiser.
Come for the run and stay for Wimpy Weekend, taking advantage of a myriad of activities including the Wimpy Polar Plunge, the Wimpy wine tour, historical Dahlonega tours and hotel and shopping specials..
