About the tournament's namesake: Kevin Carr was a gentle and kind soul. He was a true friend to all who knew him. His contagious smile lit up a room and his compassion was a comfort to so many. He had a spirited sense of humor and was fascinated by people. He could have you laughing from the gut within minutes whether it was intentional or not. Kevin could always see the lighter side of life.
He spent some of his best four years serving in the U.S. Air Force as a crew chief on a KC 135 refueling plane and stationed in Spokane WA. Kevin loved working on the jets but mostly loved serving his country. He thoroughly believed that we live in the greatest country in the world especially after touring other nations and experiencing different cultures. He met and befriended many other talented and patriotic military members and their families. They became life long friends.
Kevin was deeply spiritual and always felt drawn to God and Country. His life was short but filled with so much love and laughter shared by all. To know him was to love him.
