(english version see below)Dieser Abend wird ein Fest der Solo-Gitarre, der Improvisation, der Experimente und v.a. des American Primitive Styles:

This evening promises to be a celebration of solo guitar, improvisation, experimentation, and—above all—the American Primitive style:
Glenn Jones, hailing from Boston, is an outstanding exponent of this genre and a master of his instrument. He has been playing guitar and banjo for nearly 60 years and gained widespread recognition—across various musical scenes—through his experimental post-rock band Cul de Sac. The band frequently hosted guest artist Damo Suzuki and, notably, recorded an album with John Fahey, introducing this forefather of American Primitive music to a new generation in the 1990s.
"Driven by tireless curiosity, Jones has spent... decades exploring the boundaries of musical expression and storytelling on guitar and banjo." (Thrilljockey)

Liam Grant, from New England, uses his playing to evocatively depict the river-rich landscapes of his upbringing and to reflect on the history of the region north of Boston—an area shaped by the textile industry. Still in his twenties, he carries on the legacy of his influences—John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Peter Walker, Max Ochs, as well as Glenn Jones (!), Steffen Basho-Junghans, and Jack Rose—while forging his own path with a distinctive, fast-paced approach.
