Join us for a work weekend on the 616 restoration project!Dates: November 14-15, 2026
Location: UP 616 at Lakeview Park in Nampa, ID
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
This weekend, we'll be focusing on preparing the boiler barrel for paint, an important step in preparing the locomotive for the next phases of restoration. There will also be other tasks such as cleaning various parts of the locomotive and improving the display site. Lunch will be provided.
There's plenty of work to be done, and we can use all the helping hands we can get! Whether you've already signed up or are looking to get involved for the first time, we'd love to have you join us. Be prepared to get dirty: wear work clothes and gloves!
Your time and effort is what makes the difference in moving this restoration forward! If you plan on attending, please RSVP to [email protected] so we can get a proper headcount. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
