This Saturday (27th June) was the Battle Clubs monthly 6 Ball Snooker competition which was attended by 6 players that braved the heat and humidity to enter the monthly competition. Once again it was great to see new faces joining the competition and it created a great atmosphere in the club as the competition got underway. The competition format was tweaked this month and consisted of a league format to give the players more games and an opportunity to play each other. Each player got a maximum of 5 games in, which once again did mean that the competition did drag on a little bit into the late afternoon.
It was great to see Tom Moore break a long cycle of disappointing results and register his first frames and points for a while and expertly managed to multitask between not only playing but keeping all the players hydrated.
Congratulations and Prize Money go to: -
Winner: John Quinton (Again)
Runner Up (Again!): Gavin Taylor
These and the other results will be feedback into the 6 Ball Snooker rolling handicap system for next month’s competition on Saturday the 25th of July which will be posted on the club’s board.
(Handicap Adjustment: League Winner -5, Runner Up -2, Bottom +2)
On behalf of Battle Club, we want to thank all the players that turned up to support the event that made this a very enjoyable competition and a great success and we hopefully look forward to seeing more of you at next month’s 6 Ball Snooker competition on the 25th of July - we will work on the format again for next month’s competition to try streamline dependant on player numbers.
