About this Event
Human Trafficking, Online Exploitation & Artificial Intelligence
Now in its fifth year, the Legislative Breakfast: Addressing Human Trafficking: Law, Policy, and Practice brings together policymakers, advocates, survivor leaders, researchers, students, and community members to advance meaningful dialogue and action on human trafficking law, policy, and practice. With nearly 200 attendees at last year’s event, the Legislative Breakfast continues to serve as an important forum for cross-sector engagement, collaboration, and action.
This year’s theme, “Human Trafficking, Online Exploitation & Artificial Intelligence,” examines how rapidly evolving technologies are reshaping the landscape of exploitation, from online recruitment and fraudulent schemes to AI-generated content and emerging digital threats.
Building on the success of previous years, the breakfast will bring together diverse perspectives to explore emerging challenges, share expertise, and identify opportunities for prevention, policy development, and cross-sector collaboration. Through an action-oriented discussion, participants will consider how law, policy, and practice can work together to address evolving forms of exploitation and strengthen prevention efforts.
