About this Event
The Phoenix Children’s Healthcare Professionals Symposium (formerly known as the Phoenix Children’s Advanced Practice Providers Symposium) is an annual continuing education event that welcomes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, nurses, students and other healthcare providers from the Valley and across the country. The symposium highlights the latest evidence-based practices in pediatric medicine and provides a comprehensive review of relevant clinical information that are beneficial for both seasoned professionals and those building a solid foundation in pediatric care.
Specific topics for this year’s symposium include:
- Eating Disorders
- Sleep Medicine
- Irritable Bowel
- Functional Neurologic Disorder
- ED Management of Sports Injuries
By attending, you will be able to:
- Utilize new evidence-based treatment and management strategies for selected pediatric illnesses/disease/events (i.e., irritable bowel, pediatric sleep, pediatric functional disorder, eating disorders, and sports injuries).
- Assess critical changes in patient status in order to refer to subspecialist when required.
- Coordinate transition of patient care among subspecialty providers
