Join karen darricades at the Toronto Animated Image Society for a hands-on exploration of animation, remix culture, and creative technology. Designed for emerging artists, animators, and video makers, this two-hour make-and-take workshop/meet-up invites participants to experiment with karen's drag-and-drop Flipbook Creator, and the larger LitKit project.Geek out about frame rates, screens, loops, and the evolution of moving images while creating your own analog animation artifact. Participants can shoot a short looping video, remix existing footage, or source stock clips online, then transform a three-second animation into a custom printed flipbook to take home. No animation experience required, just curiosity, creativity, and a love of moving images.
