About this Event
This time of year can be difficult for many folks. Whether it's the stress of celebrating a holiday with family or the grief of being alone, coping skills are much needed during the season. That's where DBT skills come in!
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based type of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) combined with Zen Buddhism that helps students identify negative thinking patterns and gain healthy coping skills. The goal of DBT is to find the middle path, decrease intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and learn effective coping skills for difficult times.
Join Alicia Paz and Kat from Online DBT Skills to learn 5 DBT skills in lecture format, followed by a brief Q & A. Skills that will be taught: Paced Breathing, STOP, ABC PLEASE, Opposite Action, DEAR MAN.
