The Zombie Fun Run is an annual, FREE, fun run for community members of all ages, brought to you by the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Trails Advisory Board!
It is sure to be a thrilling adventure that is open to EVERYONE – whether you’re a seasoned pro, new to the track, a dedicated jogger, a leisurely walker, or a zombie shuffler.
DATE: Saturday, October 10, 2026
LOCATION: Register, Start, and Finish at Pioneer Pavilion Community Center (2007 Cherry St., Ferndale)
ONLINE REGISTRATION: www.cityofferndale.org/429/Zombie-Fun-Run (registration opening soon, stay tuned for announcements)
CHECK IN AND/OR REGISTRATION: 9:00 a.m.
KIDS’ SHUFFLE: 9:45 a.m.
ZOMBIE FUN RUN: 10:00 a.m.
The course will begin at Pioneer Pavilion Community Center, leading participants past Metalworks Skate Park to the Hanadori Trail, around the P66 Sports Complex, through Pioneer Village, and back to the Pavilion. Zombie Fun Run participants can choose their own adventure: 1 lap, 2 laps, or 3 laps for a full 5K.
Looking for volunteer opportunities? We need zombies...
The City of Ferndale's Parks, Recreation, and Trails Advisory Board (PRTAB) is looking for volunteer zombies to help bring the 4th Annual Zombie Fun Run to life... or death! We're looking for community groups, sports teams, clubs, businesses, coworkers, families, and friends who want to adopt a section of the course and create a fun, family-friendly zombie scene. Whether you want to shamble through the woods, guard the trail, or surprise runners with your best zombie groans, this is a great way to volunteer together while making the event unforgettable.
