About this Event
You are invited to experience a traditional family-friendly Mexican afternoon dance party with free refreshments and dance lessons! Whether you want to sit back and relax or dance the afternoon away, you're sure to enjoy our air conditioned auditorium and leafy Hillcrest campus. Free, accessible parking too. La Rondalla de San Diego consists of elders who gather to have fun creating beautiful music and sharing it with others. "Rondalla" comes from the Spanish ronda, meaning "serenade." At this show, Rondalla singers and musicians join the acclaimed Mariachi Victoria de San Diego to perform beloved musical standards in Spanish and English from Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean including Mexico Lindo y Querido, Cielito Lindo, Harbor Lights, Volver Volver, and Piel Canela. In addition to First UU, La Rondalla performs at public libraries, senior facilities, schools, public events and community festivals.
