About this Event
Domestic violence thrives in isolation: through private shame, social stigma, community misunderstanding, and political ramifications. Our annual exhibition of the art made by survivors of domestic violence is just one opportunity for survivors to express their own experiences, in their own way, and on their own terms.
The exhibition is part of our annual open house event, hosted at our Victorian-style home in the downtown historic district. The event honors October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and offers an opportunity for our community to visit our place of services, view the creative expressions of survivors, and engage in creative activities themselves.
If you would like to register as a participating artist and have your own work included in the exhibition, you can learn more about the eligility and guidelines on our website here!
