đšđș Learn the different Franco-Haitian dances with Maestro's JesĂșs La Rosa PĂ©rez. Expand your movement vocabulary and learn from JesĂșs who perhaps has the widest knowledge of Franco-Haitian dances in Finland. The dances you will learn in this workshops are:
Mason: A Cuban Franco-Haitian dance with ceremonial origins, Mason combines slow, rhythmic movements with intricate drumming, often performed in honor of ancestral spirits.
Gaga: A lively processional dance brought to Cuba by Haitian immigrants, Gaga features colorful costumes, call-and-response singing, and rhythmic drumming, symbolizing unity and community celebration.
Maisepol: Influenced by European quadrilles, Maisepol is a traditional Haitian-Cuban folk dance with structured formations and partner interactions, blending Afro-Caribbean rhythm with formalized dance steps.
Bembe Haitiano: Rooted in Afro-Haitian religious traditions, Bembe Haitiano is a deeply spiritual dance accompanied by drums and chanting, used to invoke and honor the spirits in ritual ceremonies.
The training is soolo training. No partner needed. Highly recommended for all salsa, casino, afro-cuban dancers. These classes are open level.

đšđș About JesĂșs La Rosa PĂ©rez
JesĂșs La Rosa PĂ©rez is an Afro-Cuban dancer, teacher, choreographer, and musician who has made an incredible mark on Cuban and international dance. As part of the artistic direction of Ballet FolklĂłrico del Oriente, one of Cubaâs most prestigious companies, he earned recognition from UNEAC for his outstanding choreography, with his work "CimarrĂłn" becoming one of the most popular dance shows in Cuba in 2017.
JesĂșs has performed and taught around the world, from Cuba to the US and Europe, including a standout performance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Festival. He has collaborated with legendary rumba orchestras like Muñequitos de Matanzas and some of Cuba's most famous music groups, including Los Van Van and Charanga Habanera.
A researcher and educator, JesĂșsâs deep understanding of Afro-Cuban traditions led him to help develop the curriculum for Cuban professional art schools. His teaching has influenced hundreds of professional dancers, and his reputation draws students from across the globe.
