The Fresno Koi Show will return for its 46th year this September 26th-27th. Hosted by the Central California Koi Society, the annual Fresno Koi Show will be held at Woodward Park next to the Shinzen Friendship Garden.Admission is free for the Fresno Koi Show and the event is open to the public.The Fresno Koi Show is one of the longest standing koi shows in the Nation, and organizers expect it to be the largest koi show in its history.More local and out-of-area hobbyists are bringing their prized koi to compete for Grand Champion and 50 other awards.The Fresno Koi Show is sponsored and supported by world-renowned companies and koi judges who travel to Fresno to participate in this large regional event.Hundreds of koi fish will be for sale at the Fresno Koi Show from California and out of state dealers. Many koi are imported directly from top koi farms in Japan.A record number of vendors will offer koi food and products, unique gift items, services, including:
- This highly anticipated event is the main fundraiser hosted by the koi society each year. Proceeds are used to host the show and to continue the centuries of tradition, art, and culture of koi and pond keeping flourishing in our community.There will be a raffle and silent auction, plus local food trucks with food available for purchase.Visitors can enter the Shinzen Friendship Garden through the Koi Show to see the amazing gardens with waterfalls, koi pond, iconic moon bridge, tea house, and Clark Bonsai Collection. CCKS will donate a portion of the Fresno Koi Show proceeds to the Shinzen Friendship Garden to support its koi pond and koi health.
The Central California Koi Society is a 501c-3 non-profit organization based in Fresno, CA. CCKS’s purpose is to promote and expand the hobby of keeping, breeding, and appreciating koi by disseminating information about the hobby to members and the public.Pond tours are hosted to view members’ ponds, koi fish, and eco-systems.
