Join the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) and child welfare advocates from around the nation at our annual Protecting Our Children Conference! Learn from colleagues with over 80 community led workshops focused on children’s mental health; child welfare, foster care, and adoption services; judicial and legal affairs; youth and family involvement; and more.
This year's theme, "Rooted in Ancestral Wisdom, Weaving Sacred Connections," invites us to weave stronger connections across families, Tribal Nations, service systems, and communities so Native children are surrounded by the care, belonging, and cultural knowledge they need to grow strong.
About the Conference
The Protecting Our Children Conference is the largest national gathering on Native child advocacy issues. With over 1,500 attendees, this three-day conference is the premier national event addressing Tribal child welfare and well-being.
