The 44th Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. This year’s parade will follow a modified route in the Town of Davidson due to the unknown completion date of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) road construction project along Highway 115/South Main Street. The Towns of Davidson and Cornelius explored every potential option to keep the parade on its original course. After careful consideration, the only viable solution was to retain the traditional staging area in Davidson while shortening the parade route and making slight adjustments to its course.
The approximately one-mile route will begin at the intersection of Main Street and Griffith Street, travel south along Main Street (Highway 115) to South Street, continue along South Street, and conclude near McEver Fields and Davidson Elementary School.
We appreciate the community’s flexibility and support as we navigate these temporary changes. We look forward to celebrating the 45th Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade in 2027, when we anticipate returning to the traditional parade route through Davidson and Cornelius following the completion of the road construction project.
Additional details can be found by visiting the event’s official webpage: www.townofdavidson.org/NorthMeckHolidayParade. Questions about the parade may be directed to the Davidson Parks and Recreation Department by emailing [email protected].
