Pick up a free copy of the book at the Library.Join us as we celebrate the 41st Annual Casper College Humanities Festival & Demorest Lecture. This year’s theme, “The West: Past, Present, and Future” invites us to explore how the American west has shifted and changed throughout its convoluted history, and where it could go from here.
As part of the festival, the Natrona County Library is proud to once again host the official book discussion, held on Tuesday, September 29 at 5:00 PM in the Crawford Room. We’ll be discussing "True Grit" by Charles Portis, a time honored classic in the western genre. Considered by many to be essential western reading, this story of revenge and tenacity is a classic of American literature as a whole, and boasts multiple highly regarded film adaptations.
Complimentary copies of the book will be available starting September 1 at the Library’s 2nd Floor Reference Desk (while supplies last). The discussion is free and open to the public, and all are welcome—whether you've read the entire book or are just curious about the topic.
