This four week pottery wheel throwing course is designed for beginners, guiding you through the fundamentals of shaping clay into stunning forms. Here's what you'll learn:
-Foundations on the Wheel – Safety, Learn the basics of centering, shaping, and creating various forms like bowls, vessels and cylinders using stoneware clay.
-Practice – Develop your skills through hands-on practice and personalized guidance.
-Trim and Carve – Explore the art of trimming and carving your pottery pieces.
-Firing & Finishing – Included for your creations during class, choose your favorite glaze and they will be transformed into lasting works of art.
*This course is all-inclusive, with the cost covering all materials, including stoneware clay, firings, glazes, instruction and finished pieces. (4-6 per participant). Join us and discover the joy of pottery wheel throwing! You'll be surprised at the beautiful pieces you can create. No experience necessary — all levels are welcome! Open to ages 8 and up.
